Chatterbox Press
Founded in 2020, Chatterbox Press is an artist-built home studio and small press located in Cedar, Michigan.
CBP operates in the DiY tradition. Prints are made on a Brother laser printer, with a Riso SF 5130, or in collaboration with other artists. Photos are taken with a Canon G10 or G1x. All booklets are hand cut, folded and bound. Digital tools include an Apple Macbook Air, Ipad, & Apple Pencil. When possible, secondhand or refurbished instruments are preferred to purchasing new.
Through the artist-publishing model, Chatterbox Press provides an alternative to formal or traditional art spaces. Here, radical informality, small talk and cheap art are celebrated.
